Kapital Bank
So, from the majority of replies, it appears that Kapital Bank is a good choice for those of us who don't speak fluent Spanish. I have been mostly very happy with BBVA after many years. However, they don't have any representatives in Zihuatanejo (or all the other branches I have experienced, even in Tijuana) who speak English. They do have a toll-free number to representatives who do speak English. However, the phone connections are usually poor at best so it is a serious challenge to communicate with them, even in English.
Also, it appears that you can use the ATM's of Scotiabank without fees, although there are differing results from some Internet searches. Can anyone corroborate if you can use the ATMs of Scotiabank? Only having two ATMs, one in Zihua and one in Ixtapa, to freely withdraw cash would not be ideal, to say the least.
As always, thank you very much, Rob, for this excellent resource.
