Treat the Symptoms or the Disease
As with so many instances, we continue to treat the symptoms, rather than the cause… global warming.
Mexico: Overgrowth of sargassum? Deal with the excess sargassum.
US: Flooding of St Louis? Build higher dikes.
Canada: Forest fires? More firefighters?
Europe: Heat deaths? Buy air conditioners.
The reality is that if we continue to burn fossil fuels we are condemning our children, grandchildren, and future generations to climate change hell.
Our coast will be experiencing the effects of this year’s Super El Niño.
As Randy Bachman sang, “You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet”.

(I also like Burton Cummings’ crooning cover of it as well.)
