The heat spell continues, but the temperature only reached about 35°C this Friday; however, the humidity and all the damn cement makes it feel hotter. Although there's a 60% chance of rain in the forecast for this weekend, it keeps dodging us.

This Friday's cifras alegras claim Ixtapa's hotel occupancy is 73.3% while Zihuatanejo's is 46.7%. Sales remain slow, but the ice-cream parlors are doing a good business.

There's a development being built in Troncones that reminds us how the tourism industry can ruin everything, something I was discussing this morning on a different forum. Such a shame to see this happening in Troncones.
