Coming Back to Life

Exactly, it could be a non event, it could get ugly.

We have our water bottles all full, propane tank full and half a tank of gasoline in the car. Lots of food, most shelf stable. Phone charged, and most importantly, two books each downloaded so we can read.

Let's hope we sleep through the night and wake up late tomorrow (yeah, right) and wonder why nothing woke us up.

Huracán Patricia was the most powerful hurricane ever recorded in the Pacific, and it did the same thing this one is doing, forming up right in front of us and keeping locals anxious and scared for several days before sliding up the coast and slamming into Manzanillo. It barely sprinkled here.

The wind picked up briefly overnight around 3:30 in the morning, but nothing else. Huracán Polo has weakened and is now "only" a Cat 4. It looks like we dodged a big bullet!

This morning as we walked to the mercado we were grateful to see our lovely little town coming back to life.
