The weather continues cooperating. After a perfect night for sleeping with the windows open and a fan on (sheets optional), we enjoyed another refreshing morning perfect for running errands and taking a long stroll. We bought some bolillos to go with our breakfast, greeting friends and neighbors along the way. We didn't see many out-of-towners out early, but this evening the beachfront restaurants downtown were doing a good business, and shopowners were busy attending to customers.

We enjoyed a delicious comida of calabaza relleno from La Jaiba Feliz today. I'm always grateful for their delicious recipes that they prepare with such care, as well as for their delivery service for downtown residents. We are so spoiled!

The surf continues to be decent in the morning, though the waves are dropping down to just under a meter. The water temperature remains about 29.6°C, and the tides are currently at the less extreme part of their cycle, though they still remain higher than normal due to effects of thermal expansion and the Kelvin wave.

We awoke from our siesta this afternoon pleasantly surprised to see that it had sprinkled. We can certainly use some more of that!

Don't miss the Eco-Tianguis "Sanka" that happens every Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until 1:40 p.m. in the small plaza in front of the Vicente Guerrero school, across the street from the Museo Arqueológico de la Costa Grande in downtown Zihuatanejo by the waterfront where La Boquita canal runs into the bay. Besides wonderful handcrafts, they feature a variety of homegrown produce, fresh foods including pastries, breads and tamales, fresh coffee, juices and mezcal.
