All about bottled water

When i am traveeling i try not to purchases mall plastic water bottles. I buy the large gallon(?) bottles and refill my daily container
.Not sure if this is correct but it was suggested that I purchase only water from Santarini in Zihua. However when i arrived there were two bottles already there for me to begin my own water purchases and the bottles are from San Juan.

Can someone kindly explain the process involved with purchasing water?
Is one expected to put a deposit on the bottles and what would be the cost? Does the deposit refunded when I'm leaving here?

Can you order from a different company like santorini and yet give them these two san juan bottles when they're empty in exchange for the santorini water?
Once purchased with one company do you have to stay with that one?
What is the approximate cost of one of the big bottles of water?
And how much does it cost and what company if I'm interested in buying a couple of the large glass water bottles?

We used Aguaquín for 24 years until our neighbor opened his own bottled water business called Spura (cel. 755-112-1797) on Calle Vicente Guerrero #6 across from the Panadería Buen Gusto. We've also tried Santorini and it seems fine, too.

You pay a deposit for the garafón. As far as I know, except possibly for Santorini, the garafones are interchangeable between companies as a practical matter. We used to use glass garafones but have graduated to plastic only because they are lighter and less likely to break, but if you want to be a non-plastic purist go for the glass (just ignore the plastic top). I don't recall everyone's prices. I think we pay $45 deposit for each garafón (we have several) and $10 per garafón for refills. We think our neighbor's prices are quite reasonable, and he and his family are wonderful people.

I believe you can get your deposit refunded though usually we've simply sold our garafones to friends or neighbors whenever we had too many.
