Bus from Zihua to PVC

We are travelling to PV this coming Friday by bus...Futura. The bus leaves at 9 pm and we travel all night along the coastal highway. We don't usually travel at night in Mexico but there is only one going that way it seems. Not crazy about night travel but...

Does this seem a prudent thing to do? A fisher person in the mercado was suggesting it was not too smart. We rented a car last week and drove to Guanajuato and San Miguel and had no misgivings...but a different road, daytime and lots of federales about.

Anyone????
