Bus from Zihua to PVC
I have done this trip by bus several times and most of the times vernight and it's the best way to do it if you are going to do it in one stretch with no stop. Plenty of people are using these buses and it's rare that tourists have had any issues, day or night on these, particularly on this road. Driving a personal vehicle, especially SUV's and jeeps are a whole different story and you should definitively avoid any night driving in that area and many other areas of Mexico. But buses are safe. The main issue is the lenght of the trip but depending on the bus you booked, most are quite comfy and you will likely be able to sleep for a good stretch of the trip. Expect an average of 16 hours for that trip. You could bring some food and water/drinks but they do stop in places wher eyou can purchase these items.
