New program by the Mexican tourism board to promote Zihua

Hi to all my friends,

I have been contacted by the OCV (Oficina de Convenciones y Visitantes) which is the office that gets the money for promotion for Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, they want me to help them with information for a new project.

They want to know about interesting stories of foreign people visiting in Zihua and staying for ever in this destination or from the ones visiting every year or buying a property here, they would like to know how many years ago you have been coming, where do you come from and what do you think is a "must" to see by visitors (what to visit, what to eat, what to do)... as many of you have businesses here I would take the opportunity to advertise yourselves and say for example: "... you definitely have to go on the Picante for a sunset cruise....." "you should not miss trying the food at Il Mare...." "look for a Restaurant where Jimi Mamou is playing, he is great...." ha, ha, why not, and attach pictures of your Restaurant, Boat, Venue, Store....

If you were so kind to help me writing a little something and for those of you who have been here long, long ago if you had pictures from old Zihuatanejo I would appreciate you to send some.

I would also like to ask ALL of you who have started an organization or a fund raiser or any kind of event or association to help the people of Ixtapa-Zih, to name it, say how long ago have you been working on this charity....... I think it is very important for our city to know HOW IMPORTANT is that you chose us as your destination to live, to come and visit and contribute with our town and how many of you are.... even contributing for the community to have fun and help in our economy like all of you that have helped for the Guitar Festival for example.

And finally, why not, if some of you would like to add any disappointments of the place taking over in the last few years..... maybe our authorities would listen this time.... maybe.
