Día del Trabajo
Although the US government prefers to pretend this day doesn't exist being that it is yet another black mark on US history (gee, I must be US bashing again), today is the day around the world including in Mexico where we celebrate the organization of workers and the struggle for workers' rights.
There is going to be a huge parade in downtown Zihuatanejo starting shortly and lasting several hours. If you need to come downtown I recommend doing it soon because several streets will be blocked off to traffic.
We have friend arriving from Aguascalientes on Monday to be a guest professor at one of our Universities in Alberta.
He is teaching Doing Business in Mexico, Past and Present.
Santiago always opens with a great power point with regard to May 1 and the significance of the day in history.
I have a copy and cherish the opportunity I love to be humbled.
