Afternoon Ixtapa Wedding

BrideAsh2015- We were married on Playa Larga 10 years ago this coming December at sunset. The advantage of having a sunset wedding is that you get pictures in the afternoon sun, before the wedding and before your guests have arrived and if you time it just right you are saying your vows with a spectacular sunset as your backdrop. Your wedding album looks like the photographer has used one of those fake backdrops but you will remember that beautiful scene the rest of your life. It seems to cool down somewhat at sunset and you have a breeze so that you and your guests (who are dressed up probably for the first time in this kind of heat) are a bit more comfortable. You can have canapés and light cocktails before the ceremony to hold people over but I don't remember the ceremony as being overly long including the signing of the documents. If your concern is the older and younger guests being tired I would think that a siesta earlier in the day in anticipation of a later than usual night would help but honestly our dinner was not that much later than we usually eat in Mexico. Whatever you decide I'm sure that your day will be perfect for you and your new husband. Enjoy it and don't sweat the small stuff.
