"both dog friendly beaches and no dog beaches,which seemed like a perfect solution"…..except for those of us who have invested a bunch of money in a home back when our beach was dog-friendly. A big part of our choice had to do with being able to take morning strolls on the beach with our (little) dogs.
You hit the nail exactly on the head. There has to be a better solution. Like maybe fines for people who don't pick up after their dogs. Would give the doggie cops something to do besides harassing people who are causing no problems whatsoever.
