Future of tourism in Mexico

In Ixtapa they tend to stay in their hotels and drink their vacation, so we never know they're here.

You couldn't be more wrong in your statement. Many of is actually spend a lot of time in Zihua. But by staying in an Ixtapa hotel or condo, we can have the best of both worlds and avoid some of those things you bitch about, like no water or loud bar music. It's a choice that doesn't make any of us more or wrong just because we have other preferences.

Thanks for saying that! Every time I read about the IXtapa tourist (one and done, drinking their time away, etc.) I get a little angry. We came down several times and stayed in Z... then decided to switch to Ixtapa but we still visit Z many times during our stay. The comments are generalizations, stereotypical, and unfair.

Me encantan ambos!!!! :kingtut:

The problem that someone in Z, Ixtapa, or the Mexican government needs to look into is the airlines! It looks to me as if there is a concerted effort to keep travel there to a minimum. we have mentioned to this to many people in management and the owner of a resort - they are not aware or choose not to be... they live in Paradise - why would they want to leave? They have no experience in how difficult and expensive it is to get there.
