Z Lazy Evening

If you click on the "512p" in the lower right-hand corner to increase the resolution you can make out some interesting details, such as the folks gathered on the beach by the sea turtle hatchery in front of the Apostadero Naval while sailors collect hatching turtles to release into the bay. I took some close-up shots but the garbage on the beach is frankly a shameful sight I wish not to reproduce here. I was the only person in the crowd who actually picked up several items of garbage to throw in a waste receptacle. Gotta set that example!

You can also see a soccer game taking place further up the beach between Daniel's Restaurant and the Hotel del Pescador (formerly Hotel Ávila).

What you can't see is LadyM enjoying supper with her godchild at La Porteña restaurant, but they were there all right enjoying themselves with ear to ear smiles, as were most of the folks we passed along the way. The happiness that fills the air in Zihuatanejo is certainly a palpable sensation, and I imagine we tend to look kind of goofy by city standards as we walk around greeting folks with smiles on our faces for no apparent reason at all. ¡Viva Zihuatanejo!
