BREAKING NEWS FLASH- pretty darn quiet around here....

Around the Madera area you can fling a dead cat 10 meters and not hit another gringo all day. The folks in the restaurants are all locals speaking Spanish. Usually by now I would be seeing some of the usual October arrivals. Hope this is not a sign of things to come

In my morning snoopin' around I see that my favorite La Madera tree has bit the dust. In its glory it was a thing to behold-

But alas the tiny hold on life has been lost, and you can see just how tiny it really was-

And in restaurant news a new place is about to open where the failed Candel was across from Jungle Pizza. Not sure about the name choice but what ever works. They had a sign reading OPEN OCT 2 but it was taken down-

And the ever popular Terracita on Adelita has the upstairs now open with about 7 tables. They have a way of doing things a little differently than you are used to sometimes but always good-

And the huge 4 story (so far) building next to Il Mare is going strong with their new ladder safety program...news at 11 on this guy-

And kickin' butt is the new Mexican Navy's digs on the la Ropa road. You have thought that with the view they obviously went for they would have at least tacked on a balcony or two-
