Takin' It To Z Beach

Local sand sculptor Daniel Fermín made a lovely tribute to Daniel's Restaurant. Unfortunately local dogs and apparently some kids didn't give it the respect it deserved. Even so, his work is always a marvel to behold, and even something relatively easy for him like this is still a work of art. With Zihuatanejo Bay at dawn for a background the scene becomes magical.

Standing in front of the spot on the beach where my wife was born is always a magic moment rife with nostalgia, and though things have changed considerably over the past 6 decades, this beach scene is simply not that much different than it was on that magical day long ago.

Our local fishermen had a productive evening. I know what I'm having for la comida today! It just doesn't get any better than this!
