Cancha Solidaridad

And also a fence around the basketball court, with a gate that is locked most of the time!!
Just to clarify, Katherine is referring to the Cancha Solidaridad, the basketball court next to what used to be La Mordida restaurant that the local government insisted on putting a metal roof against the wishes of several neighbors, many local residents and even tourists who stayed in lodging there. The local government even sent police to harass the locals and visitors who manifested their opposition to the rather stupid project. When they had the recent ribbon-cutting with the mayor and other overpaid so-called public servants it began to rain, not very heavily, and the first thing everyone noticed was that the roof didn't meet its primary purpose because so much rain reached the basketball court that the inaugural game being played had to be stopped. Oh, and surprise surprise, the court lacks drainage! Darn that pesky drainage! The most important detail most commonly "overlooked" in practically every public project.
