The Whales are Back
I don't know what your protocol would be for whale watching, but here in British Columbia, you are required to stay 200 yards away from any pods of Killer Whales you encounter. Most people just shut their engine off and drift. A lot of times they will come closer on their own. If they get within 100 yards of you, you should move! You should only approach a pod from the side, not from in front or behind. FYI
