This changes things, doesn't it? Not condoning the taxi actions at all but it is certainly easier to see their perspective given this information; Mexican plated vehicle, driven by a local, picks up 4 tourists on a street thick with taxis and walking tourists. Not quite the same as following a vehicle leaving a hotel.

Again, not condoning the actions, but have to imagine a pick-up directly at the hotel lobby entrance would have had a different outcome. Probably a lesson in there somewhere.

ps: my guess is Uber will probably not be coming to Zihua any time soon
