Taxi Terrorists-getting a little carried away

I have lived here for 3 years and drive a Guerrero plated SUV. Many times I have taken visiting friends and acquaintances to the airport, centro and other places around Zihua. I have often picked them up outside La Ropa hotels and restaurants, close to taxi ranks. I have never experienced the situations described in the previous posts - but am aware of this piracy happening. I feel that the string is getting a little carried away with the scope of this problem, and people are getting overly anxious about it.
Car Jacking is quite common in many countries and is far more serious than blockading - but we need to stop this practice as soon as possible.
