I agree with Linda. The problem is really not with individual taxi drivers but with their union, for which reason unfortunately they probably will need to be collectively punished. But so many of our local drivers are really just normal folks trying hard to make a living in an increasingly expensive and competitive place to live. We've known a lot of these guys for years, and I really think the world of some of our taxi drivers. But we also have a lot of folks less educated than they probably should be and with a bit too much cut-throat instinct too willing to do the unscrupulous bidding of their union bosses. I appreciate their dilemma, but they have got to know how the rest of us feel about this matter.
