Kiked off Playa El Palmar

I wasn't going to say anything but since the subject was brought up; I was kicked off Playa El Palmar last week carrying my groceries in a plastic bag down the beach walking from Centro Ixtapa to Pacifica. I had to exit at Barceló and walk down the boulevard to the street entrance. The gentleman was very nice and apologetic but he was firm, no exceptions NO PLASTIC ON THE BEACH he even walked me over to the sign and showed it to me.
Different from the 80's when we built bonfires on the beach at night and Carlo's and Charlies roamed the beach with a burro loaded with gunny sacks loaded with cerveza and we could jump off the pier into the ocean. Is this progress? After 34 years this place is starting to lose its charm. But nothing in this world stays the same.
