Discussions about what that burden is, is academic to me and I have NEVER gone in the surf in Principal, Madera or La Ropa for over the 8 yeas of my visiting Zhia. Los Gatos is cleaner.....
Not according to the last reports I recall seeing, which surprised a lot of folks and contradicted widely-held beliefs. Las Gatas came in on par with La Madera, and the pollution figures at both were significantly higher than the two spots at La Ropa where readings were taken.
Of course some argue that none of the readings are credible anyway, for all sorts of nefarious reasons.
