Fresh from Z Sea

The fishermen's market on the downtown waterfront was a-bustlin' this morning if you were there early enough, because all the good fish is quickly sold. It looked like most of the fishermen scored big last night!

These are some of the best-lookin' huachinango I've seen in years!

It looked like everyone and their cousins had gone out fishin', and they couldn't make room on the beach quick enough for all the boats coming and going.

I watched these guys cast their net from the end of the pier, but then they started throwing fish back. When we asked they why they said because they'd caught too many fish. My goodness! Apparently the pelicans had too many fish to eat, too, because they made no effort to try to take the sardines being thrown back into the bay. I can't recall ever seeing pelicans refuse food. Good fishin', mon!
