Road to la Ropa

Demolition of the road to la Ropa is well underway. Asphalt and sidewalks are torn out from the bottom of the hill up past restaurants Kau Kan, Puerto del Sol and now at Il Mare. Like MADERA was a couple years ago, thi is going to be devastating for those restaurants. Walked down past Kau Kan earlier and Ricardo, the owner, was standing outside looking at all the rubble in front ... No sidewalk, no street ... Looked like he was about to cry. Going to be a tough few months for these independent restaurants so might be nice to go out of our way and give them a bit more business.
