Eréndira Ikikunari

There was a terrific movie that came out in 2007 called "Eréndira Ikikunari" (Eréndira, La Indomable), and the main character was a played by a local Zihuatanejo girl. It is filmed in Michoacán and is about the Purépecha people and the arrival of the Spanish Conquistadores. It is spoken entirely in Purépecha with Spanish subtitles except where the Spaniards have a few lines (I don't know if there is a version with English subtitles).
