Patzcuaro or Morelia Hotel recommendations please

The original owner(I heard he sold the property) got his Master's at Berkeley I believe and wanted to make the hotel ecological. He was doing composting and water preservation. There was just a small yard area with a patio set- what a beautiful view in the early morning siting there with your coffee and evening with the lights coming. He had some of the most beautiful roses. I don't know the rates now, when we were there a week in one of the 1 bed room units was very inexpensive. We have wanted to go back but found Morelia and fell in love with the old section. We found a modern older hotel by the viaduct- we had to change hotels because after our 2nd night our first hotel on 1 of the side streets in the historical area was closing(the building was over 300 years old).
