Just Another Perfect Day in Z
The past few days in our region have been some of the most beautiful of the year. The recent rain took the edge off the heat wave that had been beating down on us for several weeks. Evenings have been perfect for sleeping with just a fan and the windows open (as I prefer). Trees and gardens are flowering, and the hills and wooded areas are lush and deep green. The rainy season is my favorite time of year, heat and humidity and all!
The summer tourists are beginning to arrive as schools begin to let out. Next week will see the mass exodus from the inland cities to the beaches for millions of Mexicans. We're enjoying these last few days of peace and quiet while they last because it's going to be a madhouse here soon, especially at night time. The tragicomic price we pay for living in a tourist destination.
It's a privilege to be able to enjoy such a lovely view from our rooftop.
