I am a lucky guy in that I am with a guy who knows how to make a good breakfast. One of our guests shared their pictures that they took of the breakfasts Jesus made them each morning. We serve fresh fruit each morning that either comes from various family lands, our own land, or purchased in the market. We buy coffee that is from Guerrero and often make our juice from the fruits we purchase. Breakfast is included in the price of our rooms and they come with a great view

Eggs a la Mexicana (scrambled eggs with chorizo), hand made tortillas in the basket, fresh fruit (Mangos from Jesus' grandma's house) and coffee from the mountains of Guerrero.

Banana pancakes (Bananas from Jesus' mom's house), Omelet, fresh fruit (mangos from Jesus' grandma's house), and coffee from the mountains of Guerrero.

Looks and sounds delicious, Humberto! Jesús makes the tortillas?
I avoid refined white sugar for my coffee and try to use piloncillo or similar. But just a little. Lupita makes such good coffee that I've practically stopped using sugar and milk. We are so spoiled, aren't we?

Jesus also makes the coffee with piloncillo, we have had so many comments about how good the coffee is without sugar. We are indeed lucky!

Is your place open to having people come for breakfast even though they aren't staying there?
Hi Helene, great question. We aren't really set up for a restaurant situation but with perhaps some prior planning we could arrange something. We mostly cook one thing for breakfast each morning with our guests dietary restrictions in mind so we don't have a menu per se.

Where can I buy local coffee?
You can find it in many places labeled as being from Atoyac, the city from which most Guerrero coffee is distributed. We most often buy ours from a shop inside the municipal market because it is conveniently located along our normal shopping route. They grind it right on the spot for us and put into the container we bring so that we don't use more plastic.

Thanks! This is our first time in Zihuatanejo. We had breakfast at Fonda La Paloma yesterday in the mercado. We're going back this morning we'll look for the coffee.

Where can I buy local coffee?
I list several excellent sources of the best café in the region, including some grown here in the sierra of Zihuatanejo, on my SHOPPING page. We drink mostly Café Caracol which is sold in the shop on the corner of our home in downtown Zihuatanejo. Quite convenient indeed.

We found hromero's suggestion on Av. Benito Juarez just past the Mercado, Cafe Costa Del Sol and the coffee is fantastic! We will find your suggestion today and give it a try. Thanks to both of you!
