I thought this video was so unique and so good that I had to share it here.

St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands was my home in the early 70's. Within days of arriving there I felt reborn, and after a few months I never thought I would ever leave, though several years later circumstances eventually caused us to. While I got to know much of the island, there was always more to discover. Unfortunately in 1989 Hurricane Hugo devastated the island. Just when they were getting rebuilt several more hurricanes hit or swiped the island causing extensive damage. This past year a native born islander, a Crucian named Jonathan Brin, decided he would walk the entire coast of the island and film it. St. Croix is a little over 22 miles long and about 6.5 miles wide at its widest point. Join Jonny on an amazing adventure like no other, and discover St. Croix like few people have ever seen it before.

This series of videos is best watched on your smart TV.

Very Cool! What an interesting project. Just watched an hour so far and that does not look like a casual stroll.

No casual stroll and definitely not for the feint of heart or any city slicker. All the dead coral is something we should all be paying attention to, as well as his comments why he no longer eats seafood from the island. I lived there during St. Croix's apogee, and it's something I've never taken for granted.

Here I am back in 1972 getting my soul saved at school and trying to gulp the remaining wine, but Father Gibson read my mind and took great care so my buddy Bruce Hicks would get some, too. No sympathy for this devil.

Fascinating long-term project. The 21st "episode" was just posted on March 29.

The most amazing aspect of the videos is that he is doing the hike barefoot...over coral, rocks, lava and razor rocks. And in the first episode I only heard two "ows"!

Thanks for posting the link!
