Hello everyone!
We have been going to Playa Linda, and the Cocodriliario "mirador" has been closed for about 4 weeks. It seems the wood planks are broken, but there are no signs of this being in the process of getting fixed. They had yellow tape the first couple of weeks, but today we saw a physical barrier (that local turistas did not respect).
Who is responsible for fixing this? Where can we call? We love seeing the beautiful birds, tortoises, and of course, crocodiles.
Thank you!
BL
Unfortunately this entire ill-concept never worked. Enclosing crocodiles that must depend on humans to feed them is a disaster waiting to happen because they are being taught that humans are a source of food, and this makes them dangerous to humans. Tamakún used to make tips putting on a show, but he can no longer do so, and frankly he's lucky to have survived several attacks. Laguna del Negro is accessible via the Ixtapa bike path as well as at the end of the road at Playa Linda where much local wildlife including crocodiles can be enjoyed in their natural habitat as it should be.
