As of today, since April 18, 2020 Zihuatanejo has registered a cumulative total of 2,426 confirmed cases of Covid-19 (1 more than yesterday), 193 that have resulted in fatalities, 7 that are currently active, and approximately 2,076 that have recovered. Hardly any active cases is good!

It really wanted to rain today. There were plenty of clouds, a bit of lighting and thunder, but all we got was barely a sprinkle that only made it feel more humid. The storm off our coast is sucking all the moisture away with it as it heads out to sea.

The Marina and Protección Civil de Guerrero emitted a warning for another mar de fondo event arriving today and lasting until Wednesday.

Los compas are all watching a departing panga when its motor fails to start and a series of waves begins to arrive. Excitement and drama on the Zihuatanejo waterfront!;-)

First rain yesterday!! There were marks on the ground where water had actually fallen from the sky. I could feel water--pretty sure it was water--on my bald head.

I grabbed my weather rock to show my wife, but the drops evaporated before I got upstairs.

And there was some seriously window-rattling thunder.
