As of today, since April 18, 2020 Zihuatanejo has registered a cumulative total of 2,425 confirmed cases of Covid-19 (same as yesterday), 194 that have resulted in fatalities, 4 that are currently active, and approximately 2,077 that have recovered. This is looking really good for us. While there are still a lot of people to be vaccinated, it seems the process is working. Let's see how things look a couple of weeks after this Sunday's elections.

The vaccination process of the 40-49añeros has apparently not gone as smoothly as previous events, partly because they are trying to also take care of folks from older age groups who missed their turns for one reason or another, partly because some people don't have their documentation in order or show up out of alphabetical turn, and so they keep running out of vaccines. But yesterday Mexico achieved a milestone of delivering over a million vaccines in one day. And of course we ant to improve on that. I can see "normal" on the horizon.

Because of the elections, there will be LEY SECA in Guerrero both this Saturday and Sunday. Make appropriate preparations.
