Ventarrones y ViZIHtas
The offshore breeze from Tormenta Tropical Enrique got so strong during the afternoon that we had to close up our windows facing the beach to keep the dust and sand from blowing into our home. We really notice the missing trees that used to protect us from the wind off the bay! It isn't raining yet, but the satellite images show it's close by and could start at any time. I expect it will continue like this throughout the evening and possibly through tomorrow morning. The Triatlón and other sporting events may have to be cancelled, certainly the swimming portion. I expect the bay and coastal navigation will also be closed meaning no trips to Las Gatas or Isla Ixtapa for all the folks visiting us this weekend.
For those of you with furry family members, remember that it's la temporada de las garrapatas.
The sea breeze from Playa La Madera is illuminated at sunrise while a barrendero cleans the beach and panga fishermen work the shoreline.
