ZIHn Olvidar a los Niños
According to the health authorities of Guerrero, over 91% of the population is now vaccinated after the recent campaign
Though today is Día de Niños, not all our children are able to celebrate. Many must work for their family selling trinkets and Chicles, others must work in the fields with their parents getting the land ready for the rainy season and planting crops. Others must take care of a sick parent or relative. This is a hard day for my family, but we have tried to do our part to make the lives of other children a little more pleasant and rewarding, and that gives us comfort and strength. Even if all you can give is a smile, it just might help make a child's day a little brighter.
This Monday all students in Guerrero are supposed to attend classes in person. No more distance learning. It's about time, but I fear a lot of schools may not be ready. We shall see.
In 2 weeks our Pacific Hurricane Season officially begins. Time to start getting your home and property ready for the rains and winds that may come. We've already had some beach erosion from the mar de fondo events, and many beachfront properties are losing land to the sea. Keep an eye on our local weather via the links here on my website.
