Cashing USD

Hi all
Will be visiting in October, is there any issues with cashing certain amounts ($100 bills) in Ixtapa. Years ago I used to go to the bank and cash USD not sure in can still do that.

There is only one bank that will exchange, Intercam. Passport required and there are maximum amounts. The rate is not the best. I recommend getting a no foreign fee ATM card. The rate will be better and less hassle. Even better yet if you set-up with an ATM like Charles Schawb. Which not only has no Foreign fees, but also refunds your ATM charge. The long and short of it is, the banks really don't want your American money.
Absolutely use the ATM's. Like he said.
Capital One also is a no fee anywhere card, but does not refund the ATM fees. However they are very low at most machines.

I’m in a situation where I have an excess of pesos.
If anyone wants to trade some USD I’ve got 20 for the dollar.
Hope I’m not breaking any laws
