No damages to report in Zihuatanejo, but it happened at the same time as some folks were observing the SIMULACRO in observance of the '85 and '17 earthquakes. Lots of folks ran into the streets in our part of town.

Yes, quite strong. It lasted longer than usual.

Thanks for the report. I was very concerned when I heard about the earthquake - glad to know that no one was injured.
Three times on the same day ?? Can anyone think of anytime this has ever happened ? Never going to visit Mexico in September.

Having lived in San Francisco and Anchorage for many years, both cities being in earthquake zones, I can assure you that quakes don't have a preference for a specific time of year.
