MEX Mexico City

Has anyone had any issues arriving to ZIH via Mexico City?

I lost my dartboard at the Mexico City airport storage facility on my way here back in '74. Does that count?

I did that connection from Vancouver YVR in October without any problems. Specifically, there were none of the problems we have read about regarding ZIH and customs/aduana.

I will be making that connection on January 18. I have had one airline issue. My connection in MEX was to leave in the morning, getting me to ZIH by noon. AeroMexico changed my connecting flight to the afternoon, extending my time at MEX and delaying my arrival at ZIH to something line 3:00 p.m.

Add an extra hour for customs. We arrived Jan. 21. Immigration was well staffed and efficient. But Customs was bedlam. One long line that we never saw the end of. Also the doors that you normally exit through were closed and people literally wandered around looking for an exit. Aeromexico had staff available to give us our connecting boarding passes (which you need to take the Aerotren to get from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1). In the end we never did clear Customs. An Aeromexico person put us a line for connecting flights but that was for connections leaving from Terminal 2 and of course ZIH flights leave from T1. But when we got to the end that line and walked through a winding corridor we were just directed out into the main concourse.
