Zihuatanejo Inflation Discussion

There has been some discussion about the inflation of taxi fares from the posted official rates.

I expect there are other examples of inflation affecting users of the board, as well as inflation that affects local workers/residents.

Recently I was looking for a one-week car rental in January 2023. The price quoted was 40% higher than what I paid in October and November 2022, only two and three months ago. The reason given was, “The price went up because auto parts and maintenance is expensive.”

I have received an email advising me of price increases by my accountant. I haven’t read it yet, so I don’t know the details.

I have received an email with advice about the best methods to provide what is considered to be inevitable increases in wages and benefits to employees.
