Is there a place to safely dispose of used hearing aid batteries? I know Capaz has a container for AA/AAA batteries but don’t recall seeing hearing aid batteries in the container.

The Bomberos are supposed to receive used batteries, and I believe someone also receives them at the Saturday morning Eco-Tianguis "Sanka" across the street from the museum.

I tried to recycle mine in the States and have been told that hearing aid batteries can’t be recycled and landfill is only thing available

It's my understanding they are recycled in Canada

You're correct Paul..they are accepted for recycling, at least in BC. My wife used to work at Kelowna Regional District (waste reduction) and she set up the program.

I just take them back to my Hearing Aid provider and they recycle them. Way better than putting them in a landfill!

I forgot that CAPAZ also accepts used batteries for proper disposal. They also accept used domestic oil.
