Not a day passes by that I don't give thanks to be with my wonderful saint of a wife with whom I first fell in love here almost 49 years ago. What great fortune befell me that day! What a great privilege for me to have shared these past 32+ years with this amazing woman.
The developer who wants to build a huge hotel and pier at Playa Manzanillo (on the other side of the hill from La Ropa) is in town. Feel free to leave him a message and speak your mind here. The mayor plans to announce the start of its construction this week. I told him that if he truly loved Zihuatanejo he would work to protect its fragile marine and land ecosystems from Playa La Ropa to Playa Riscalillo, not profane and endanger them with development.
We continue suffering our picture-postcard perfect weather. Another day of high temps around 30°C and an overnight low of around 20°C with humidity somewhere in the 70's (kind of low for us). Light breezes and clear skies. Perfect for sleeping with a light sheet.
