Guerrero's health officials confirm 8 currently active cases of Covid-19 in Zihuatanejo, 83 in Acapulco, and 237 in the entire state. There is currently no one hospitalized for Covid-19 in the state.

I fall in love with my saint of a wife every single day, sometimes several times a day, even when she doesn't behave so saint-like. I've been this way since even before we were married. I may simply be love-struck and crazy, or maybe it's something in the water, but I think I'm the luckiest gringo in Mexico.

Don't forget to look for the green comet!

We "suffered" more picture-postcard perfect weather today. What can I say? No blizzards here. B-)

Lodgings in La Madera offer easy walking to town, to the beach, and to many very good restaurants. [image]Vista Bahía Zihua is a very affordable 2-bedroom beachfront vacation condo with a fabulous view overlooking the bay from above La Madera Beach. It features a kitchen, cable TV, wireless internet and maid service, pool and 24-hour security.

They always said........... "don't drink the water".

Back before water was available in garrafones, we always boiled it, though there was a brief period when we didn't even do that and just strained it through a cheese cloth before making coffee or oatmeal with it. But I don't recommend that.

Before my first time living here in '74 I'd been warned not to get mixed up with the local girls because their brothers and cousins wouldn't look favorably on a gringo messing with their female family members. I really tried not to. I was on my best behavior. But then I met Lupita...

Especially when 10 of her friends are telling you to get lost and you have to be able to hold your ground. ;-)

I can't fault you my friend, been down that road a plenty when visiting. Back in 1996 I met a girl and her sister at the then Dorado Pacifico as she was vacationing from San Angel.

Went back n forth visiting her for a couple years, along with her coming my way a few times..... and then we were married not too long after that.

They can have that affect on you.

Oh! A Chilanga. Those city girls can be a handful and hard to tame. You got my respect. ¿Y cómo va tu español? ¿Igual que su inglés? ;-)

I think my Spanish was a bit better actually before I met her. :) Muy flojo to learn unfortunately.

No taming needed with this lady, I wish she was a bit more wild. I think she's the second coming of Mother Teresa!! Just can never quite figure out how the hell she went for me, but no complaints.

I'll definitely need to step up my Spanish quite a bit in a hurry if I decide to move down that way.

Entonces, no practicas espanol en la almohada con su almahada? So you don't practice Spanish on the pillow with your sweetie?

I can trade a few choice words/ideas in that situation. But in general no I unfortunately didn't practice much.

I had a physical and demanding job and was usually out of the house roughly from about 7-7:30am-9pm M-F working and did Saturdays occasionally.
I wasn't really in the mood to be absorbing espanol dead tired when returning home. I had a hard enough time literally just trying to keep my eyes from rolling in the back of my head as I drove home.
