Would like to hear from someone who has departed from Zihua airport in the last month with permanent residency as to whether their airline required them to check in with Immigracion at the airport prior to departure?

I left ZIH in December. There was no migración check out.
I left ZIH in March, there was a migration checkout.
The airline printed in big letters on my boarding pass “MIGRACIÓN” and highlighted it in yellow.
Migración had me sign their book, photocopied both sides of my RP card and gave it to me to hand in as the plane was boarding.
The process at migración took maybe five minutes.

Did they stamp the copy of your PR card that they made? If not, then no need to go to their office. Just bring your own copy of your card???

Yes, migración stamped the obverse side of the copy of my RP card. They also hand printed my flight number on it. They did not stamp the reverse side. It appeared that the person was entering information into a computer.
Migración entered my information in their book and had me sign the book.
The migración person emphasized that I was to give it to the airline personnel before boarding.
I took phone photos of both sides of the document.

All very confusing, traveling with a dog so I can t print my boarding pass, so I get to do the two step at the airport.

Permanent Resident here.
I just flew out of Mexico City to Colombia via Panama.
I stopped at the Migración booth.
They did stamp me out.
Not sure it was necessary, but it was on my way to the gate.

I mean my passport.

My wife left yesterday via Alaska Air. When checking in at the Alaska counter, she was directed to go to Migracion to check out with them, She did so and was required to sign "the book". It appears that we need to check out with them, at least if you are a residente permanente.

I had to check out with immmigracion on 3/24. Same process as previous years, very quick if there is an officer available.
