Guerrero's health officials confirm 2 currently active cases of Covid-19 in Zihuatanejo, 82 in Acapulco, and 235 in the entire state.

Wave action has picked up. Thursday night it was like music to sleep by. Seems like we've hardly had any waves at all for weeks, so it's good to hear them again.

Temps may have risen a bit, but to Lupita and me it feels quite comfortable. Yes, it gets warm early, though Friday morning's clouds kept the temps mild until around midday. A tad warmer in the evenings, but still cool enough for showering with hot water and sleeping under a light sheet. Won't be long till we're sweating all day and night awaiting the first good rain.

Tourists have certainly begun to arrive. This Saturday should begin the arrivals en masse. It's expected to get quite busy. Enjoy what peace and quiet you can find. There won't be much for the next couple of weeks. ;-)

Lovely danzón takes place in Plaza del Artista every Friday evening around 6PM. We love it! Good music and a cultural treat.

[image]One of my favorite beachfront lodgings in Ixtapa is Ixtapa Iguana #270. Comfortable and lovely two-bedroom condominium overlooking the pool and El Palmar Beach in Ixtapa, available by week or month. Sleeps up to six and features a full kitchen, terrace, A/C, and TV.

A timeless scene of Zihuatanejo's downtown beach that thankfully has barely changed over the decades.
