First Rain!!

Been raining/drizzling/pouring here for hours! LOVE it. And, the electricity came back on.

Woke up to the backup generator kicking on, (Navy flashbacks) stuck my head outside to see who else was without power...and got wet. Do I have a broken pipe? Wait! Can that liquid be coming from the sky?!

Yes! Rain!

I couldn't believe what I was hearing, but the absence of the sounds of any fan running certainly made hearing the rain easier since with the rain also came a blackout downtown that lasted for a little over an hour, reminding me of what life was like here without electricity, especially trying to sleep during these hottest most humid nights of the year.

Near the dolphins on la Ropa we got 1.5 cm or .6 inches. I took a picture of the brown hills at noon today and will take another Monday. Bet it's greener!
