Where to get vaccines? (not covid)

Do the laboratorios administer vaccines, or do you go to a clinic or doctor for those?

While I was in the US recently, I got a last check up exam with my Dr there, and she gave me a list of tests and vaccines to get here since they would be cheaper -- and I am between insurance coverage. So for vaccines, things like typhoid and Hep-A that I need to re-up on.

I saw all Rob's recommended healthcare services, but would appreciate any experiences or tips on which types of places to go for the shots.

Forgive me if this has been discussed before, but I could not bring myself to search the archives for "vaccine"... ;-) :beatwall:

The government issues a series of vaccines every year that are free. They are administered by the clínicas de salud pública. These vaccines are usually announced in the local news and social media. Some vaccines such as Tamiflu can be bought at local farmacias. Mexico's new Covid-19 vaccine, Patria, should soon be available. Not sure if it will only be available at clínicas de salud pública or if will also be available at farmacias. You can also call the clínica de salud pública to see what vaccines they have available. As far as I know, they are always free.

Thanks, Rob. I'm not looking for yearly, widely distributed vaccines like Flu or Covid -- these are specific, recommended by my Dr for reasons related to my situation. But your info is helpful, and I will contact them and other clinics to see what I can get. If I find anything useful, I will report back for others' to reference in the future.
