Anyone have any news on the Palma Real course, conditions, price, new carts?
Or is it the same as before with prices jacked up?
Thx

High prices, crappy conditions, suggest to boycott the facility until they get back to reality. Maybe they never will and just keep raising prices. Not to many snowbirds that would play 2-3 times per week are no longer willing to pay for these conditions. Those that are here for 1-2 weeks are still playing a round or two.

Was not my experience. It is expensive, they almost doubled the prices this year over last but conditions are much better. We even have two fountains now. ????????????No more lost balls in the fairways because of leaves. The sand traps need work. We had 20 guys in the mens group three days a week. Mostly newer carts, they can finish a round now. If a choice between Palma or the Marina, I’ll pay and play Palma.

The question marks were supposed to be smiley faces. Not sure what happened there.

I would suggest that all these guys who posted above have very low standards and expectations. Their home courses are most likely not open yet.

Thx everyone for the info. I said last November I was done playing there and still am.
Good memories of playing the past dozen years until they lost me with new rates.
It’s not rocket science to know how to bring people in to play.
Anyway I’m done thinking about if they come back to reality.
The writings on the wall.

Couldn't disagree more with your uninformed opinion. I know both those guys and occasionally play with the group they refer to. I agree with their statements about the condition and service at the club. I know Badge belongs to a high end course in Carmel Ca. Not sure about Gary, but he knows a good course from a crappy one. I belong to a high end course in Wisconsin, and even in the frozen tundra, courses are all open.

Is it the best course in Mexico? Hell no. If it were in Cabo, it wouldn't last a year before going under. But here in Ixtapa, it is so far superior to the competition that it isn't even close. Fonatur was losing their ass running the place. No surprise there.

Do you even play there?
