Guerrero's health officials haven't updated their Covid-19 report since May 31. I guess we're not supposed to worry our pretty little heads anymore even though a local school in Colonia Los Amuzgos is currently closed due to an outbreak of Covid-19.
Though the day started off quite warm and humid and I was dripping wet with sweat from my morning chores before 8 o'clock, the afternoon and evening were milder and much more pleasant, especially once the clouds rolled in.
CAPAZ managed to pump a little water to our rooftop tinacos, well, one of them anyway, so I grabbed a bucket to transfer water from the slightly lower and much smaller tinaco to the larger one that's about 4 inches taller but apparently beyond the range of the water pressure CAPAZ managed to put out today. I'll take whatever we can get and be thankful for it!
Scant tourists around today. Wasn't hardly worth opening up our boutique, and many of our neighbors apparently felt the same way. Monday. Should've known!
If you know where La Flechita Roja is on Av. Morelos, then just across the small street on the next corner is a small restaurant whose owner threw boiling oil on a young Husky a few days ago, injuring the dog severely, though he's going through a painful recovery thanks to Dr. Jorge Islas. Apparently the dog's owner won't go through the process of denouncing the POS who almost killed his dog for fear of retribution since they're neighbors, an unfortunate but common situation here, but like most of my neighbors I'm hoping people will at least boycott his restaurant.
How the mighty have fallen! The PRI lost their longest held bastion of over 100 years with this Sunday's election for Gobernadora in el Estado de México where a woman from AMLO's Morena party won in Mexico's most populous state. My, what interesting times we live in.

Clouds rolled in making it look like it was going to rain, but any precipitation is expected to be in the sierra, not here on the coast in Zihuatanejo. 'Tamo' sala'o'
