Only 2 more weeks until summer vacation ends and schools open back up. Things should start tapering off next week as families concentrate on getting their kids ready for school.

Zihuatanejo will be one of the destinations for the renewed Mexicana airlines this winter, supposedly at fares 20% less than other airlines. Worth keeping an eye on, though I expect it will be quickly saturated.

Remember to visit the Eco-Tianguis "Sanka" this Saturday from 9 to 1:30. There will be excellent food and music as well as many locally produced goodies and handcrafts including coffee and mezcal.

Speaking of excellent, I think Quinto Sol Troncones offers some of the most excellent lodgings in the region, very much in keeping with local style. They offer four different vacation rental lodgings surrounded by lush gardens and with beautiful open-air living areas and shaded terraces located at Troncones with beach and pool access.
