We finally got a nice little rain early this Sunday evening. Just what we needed. The plants were looking thirsty and the dust was kicking up. Brought the temps down nicely and sent the few folks out on the beach scurrying for shelter. Onda tropical #25 is passing by and rains are expected this Sunday evening as well as Monday morning. A good reason to play Jimmy Buffett music and dance around like a Florida beach bum.

Not a day goes by that I don't give thanks to be where I am with whom I'm with and doing what I do. I was still knee-high to a gator when I realized I wasn't cut out for "the American dream" and what passes for culture up there. And while I had romantic inclinations fairly young, I had my doubts about "love at first sight" being anything more than hormones and pheromones until it happened to me. And not once, but twice, with the same person who has been my wife for almost 33 years. And that's why I dare refer to myself as the luckiest Gringo in Mexico. It's a lifestyle that's not for everyone, but it was sure meant for me.
